Job Vacancy: IML Setter Technician/OperatorCompany Overview: Central Employment Agency is working in partnership with a well-established medium-sized manufacturing company that specializes in plastic packaging . Our client is the largest independent company in their field, supplyingtheir products to various retailers across the UK. We are currently seeking a dedicated IML Setter Technician/Operator to join their team.Position: IML Setter Technician/OperatorLocation: SedgefieldAs an IML Setter Technician/Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient operation of In-Mould Labelling (IML) machines. This role is based at our clients Sedgefield site and operates on a 24/7 shift pattern,working on a 3 on, 3 off basis with alternating day and night shifts. While experience in injection moulding is advantageous, we are open to considering candidates with other relevant setter/technician skills.Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate IML machines, including robotics.
  • Perform product changeovers, setups, and run established tooling to meet customer specifications and production time targets.
  • Diagnose and rectify running faults in a timely manner.
  • Communicate progress and issues to the Shift Manager/IML Process Engineer.
  • Maintain machine efficiencies and minimize scrap production.
  • Ensure the correct procedure is followed during label changes and tool changes.
  • Uphold a high standard of hygiene in the IML area.
  • Comply with all procedures laid out in the training documents and Handbook.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Competency in using computer equipment for data purposes.
  • Familiarity with various measuring equipment.
  • Methodical approach to systems and established work standards.
  • Ability to make decisions within specified boundaries.

Salary:
  • Level 1: £11.50 per hour (£25,116 per annum)
  • Level 2: £12.60 per hour (£27,518 per annum)
  • Level 3: £13.60 per hour (£29,702 per annum)
Working Hours:
  • Alternating 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 7:00 am on a 3 on, 3 off basis.
Holidays:
  • 24 days, inclusive of bank holidays.
