We are working alongside a client school in Scarborough who urgently require an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs.If you are looking for a role in education and have experience in caring for peopple who live with mental health conditions, we may have the perfect rople for you!The working day will be 8.30 to 3.30, centred on working with the pupil who is in lower key stages to promote a positive experience of their time in education through meeting their emotional needs and working on their academic progress. This will be Mondayto Friday.The ideal candidate will be patient and caring, holding the childs best interest at the heart of what they do. Owing to the needs of this pupil and their presentation, someone energetic will be desired, able to move with the pupil and offer support in the waythe pupil needs. You will have experience in getting children with SEN to engage in class work, gaining academic progress and handling behaviour that can be challenging.Experience working in similar Primary School roles as a teaching assistant is preferred, however we find that nursery nurses, support workers and others from health and social care backgrounds apply themselves to this type of role well.This role will be paid through teaching personnel until July 2022, however the right candidate will have the option to take on a permanent contract after this academic year.Thye School itself is a large primary school with excellent links to the community.
