Manufacturing Manager (CNC Programming/Precision Engineering)Sandy, Bedfordshire£47,000 to £49,000 DOE + 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidaysManufacturing Manager sought in a highly successful precision machining organisation with a newly built warehouse environment creating purpose built bespoke security systems. This will have immediate handover into the Manufacturing Managers role from the current post holder.Are you looking to take the next step in your precision engineering careerThe Manufacturing Manager role will be suited to an experienced CNC programmer and machinist with experience in milling and turning. Experience of liaising with suppliers to get quotes and managing people would be advantageous but not essential. You will be a hands on person willing to do any aspects of the process and be ready to progress into managerial position.The core function of the Manufacturing Manager will be 50% hands on work and 50% office based. You will liaise with suppliers to get quotes for materials. You will work from design drawings made by the inhouse design team, working closely with them throughout the process. You will then programme and use CNC machines to make the bespoke products. You will manage a small team of 6 skilled machinists, issuing appraisals and training where necessary. You will shadow the current Manufacturing Manager for the first 4 weeks in order to step into his role on an immediate basis.The company is a well established and highly successful precision machining organisation specialising in the Aerospace, Defence, Military and Food industries.
