Job Description

Keep reading.We are recruiting for a hands on Plant Workshop Supervisor to join our clients team on their afternoon / late shift. Supervising a team of fitters on both fixed plant and mobile plant. If you are interested in joining a local family run business within theSandridge area If you are based around the North Watford area / St Albans, Luton, Harpenden or Berkhamsted then this role will be commutable for you.Your duties as a Plant Workshop Supervisor

  • You will maintain and repair of heavy plant machinery
  • You will continuously improve processes and H&S protocols
  • You will support, assist and lead a team of plant engineers / fitters
  • You will liaise with colleagues to optimise process efficiency
  • You will conduct risk assessments to meet health and safety guidelines
  • You will provide efficient cost management of spares and repairs to equipment and vehicles
  • You will Check and process time sheets and inspection reports.
  • You will support and inspire development in your team
Ideal CandidateTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have previous experience within the Construction or similar industry, as a team leader, workshop manager, workshop supervisor, workshop foreperson, plant manager. You will hold a full UK driving license. Youwill also have previous experience carrying out any maintenance, repairs, and services to a range of plant machinery including, Loading Shovels, Counter Balance, 360 excavators. You may have worked in construction, quarrying. civil engineering, agriculturalplant, operated plant, heavy plant or similar, as well as being able to commit to the prerequisites below.- Flexible and willing to work overtime, when required to support business requirements. - Able to work a late shift (Mon-Fri2pm-12pm and alternate Saturdays 3pm-11pm)Benefits
