Job Description

Our client, a private care home provider with sites based across Mid-Devon, are currently recruiting for a permanent Finance and Payroll Manager due to recent expansion.The role is full time (40 hours per week) and the salary is £28,000 - £34,000, dependent upon experience.The ideal candidate will have three years post qualification experience and be competent in their use of excel.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Overseeing the delivery of the finance function, including purchase & sales ledger, payroll and pensions
  • Managing the Finance team, including systems, accounting and payroll
  • Delivering and maintaining the accounting and administrative systems, inclduing banking and reconcilliations
  • Preparing draft annual business plans and operational budgets
  • Designing and provideing financial reports to assist in management decision making
  • Modernising and moulding the company’s future financial reporting to keep in line with the expanding business
  • Maintaining the purchase ledger and ensuring the timely payment of supplier invoices
  • Preparing and maintaining all financial records to include reviewing discrepancies and recommending corrective actions
  • Responsible for processing payroll, meeting RTI deadlines and dealing with all auto-enrolment pension administration
  • Acting as first point of contact for HMRC in relation to payroll matters
  • Experience required:
  • AAT, ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Utilising finance systems, including Sage
  • Exposure to accounting, ledger controll and payroll
  • Working Hours, Rewards andBenefits:
