Job Description

Adecco Warrington are supporting our incredible client based in Irlam, on their search for an experienced Site Operations Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.This is a truly fantastic opportunity with huge progression within the business available for the individual.You will be a part of a hugely successful business, overseeing 8 members of staff who directly report into you and help coordinate business operations on site.Flexible Working Hours! Core hours are Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm with flexibility around the start and finish time.You will manage the operational Scheduling, Supply Chain, Materials and Shipping team to deliver business and customer expectations, driving forward continuous improvement.You will be responsible for ensuring timely production and distribution of product to both internal and external customers. You will lead your team to drive forward a culture of delivering a quality product in a safe, timely cost effective manner that meets customers expectations. You are accountable for the end to end supply chain, site/plant maintenance, local stock and transport operations.Main Responsibilities and Daily Duties:

  • Strong communication with customers building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Oversee the Production & Distribution supervisors to ensure a high level of proficiency and development.
  • Ensure the relevant training and qualification is implemented and up to date.
  • Developing confidence within the team and on site synergies.
  • Accountability for production planning, distribution scheduling, stock management.
  • Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications.
  • Plan work flow and schedules for production departments.
  • Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery.
  • Lead weekly/monthly team meetings.
  • Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities.
  • Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in new product development and enhancements.
  • Create weekly/monthly reports and KPIs.
  • Determine equipment and materials required to complete production.
  • Resolve production planning issues and escalate unresolved issues to management promptly.
  • Assist in employee hiring, training, performance evaluation, retention and termination activities.
  • Maintain effective processes, operational procedures and performance indicators to meet customer and business requirements and drive desired behaviour.
Ideal Candidate will have:
  • Good Leadership experience in distribution planning & production scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Strong compliance understanding and experience to prove this.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A team player with a can-do attitude; eager to cooperate with others, has exceptional interpersonal-communication skills.
  • Good IT skills and associated software understanding.
  • Daily performance management skills.
  • An enthusiastic and motivated mindset to improve inefficiencies and add value to the teams.
