Job Description

Were looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyorto join our Build Team based in Manchester.Location: Salford, ManchesterContract: Full time, PermanentWhat will you be responsible forAs Senior Quantity Surveyor youll be working within the Commercial Team, supporting them in building projects that support and develop the local communities.Your day to day will include:

  • Advising on financial feasibility of projects at early stages
  • Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value.
  • Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)
  • Assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Groups policies for risk management
  • Prepare and present monthly cost reports, value works executed by Sub-Contractors and certify interim and final payments
What are we looking forThis role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
  • Proven experience in managing the commercials over the full project lifecycle in education, commercial, leisure, healthcare, Ministry of Defence, and mixed-use projects
  • Experience in both JCT & NEC forms of contracts
  • Experience in the commercial management of high value build projects.
