Job Description

SDA Consulting LLP have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to join our Manchester team reporting directly to our Partner for Project Management Services.We are one of the leading independent Construction Consultancies in the North West offering a comprehensive range of professional construction consultancy services across multiple sectors, including Education, Housing and Student Residences and complementedby wider experience on Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, Leisure, Retail and Religious projects. We regularly receive repeat commissions from our client base so typical projects range from new build, refurbishment, remodelling and infrastructure projectsand across small, medium and large or complex multi-site projects.We are client focussed and passionate about delivering high quality services with developing, growing and maintaining client relationships at the heart of our Practice. Our need to recruit comes from our success in thinking creatively about the solutionswe offer clients, and this has seen our project management business grow to include a variety of unique programme and project management commissions. We are therefore looking for a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager who is a flexible, team player and cansupport our Partners to plan and roll out a range of project management, programme management and multi-disciplinary services.What are we looking forYou should have:

  • professional qualification (MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB or other recognised Construction Project Management qualification)
  • a consultancy background with experience in our core sectors
  • the ability to manage projects autonomously in the role of Project Manager, Employers Agent and Contract Administrator
  • sound knowledge and practiced project delivery experience with the ability to establish clear, coherent and realistic project plans and the skills to deliver schemes to budget and programme
  • experience of planning, monitoring and delivering multiple projects at once
  • familiarity with different procurement routes and construction contracts (JCT, NEC, etc).
  • proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Project. Experience of Power BI would be advantageous but not essential
  • excellent client facing skills building and promoting positive relationships and having confidence liaising with stakeholders
  • excellent communication, problem solving and influencing skills
  • ability to write clear, concise professional reports summarising work completed and recommending proposals (for example RIBA Stage reports)
