Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual for a fixed term maternity cover. This is to teach full time at a extremely warm and welcoming specialist Primary school. This is for a mixed KS1/2 class, the class is very small and the students havevaried needs, additional complex learning needs, ASD or multiple learning difficulties. The successful candidate will teach and differentiate learning plans for a small class with a team of teaching assistants supporting.The position is to start in October but the school is hoping for the successful candidate to be able to come and spend time in the school prior to this for a handover and to get settled.The benefits of this role are:

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering engaging lessons to pupils
  • Supporting the additional needs of the pupils
  • Following lesson plans to ensure equal accessibility to learning
  • Keeping track of students progress
Requirements for this role are:
  • A DBS on the update service
  • A teaching qualification (Primary teachers are encouraged to apply)
  • Dedication to improving pupils learning experience
  • To deliver lessons using the best pedagogical strategies for the learners.
  • Have specific experience / interest in working with pupils with SEND
  • Possess the emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with young people with a range of complex needs
