Salford Royal is the leading Major Trauma Centre for Greater Manchester and the host of the Greater Manchester Neuroscience Centre. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated registered nurse to join our regional Stroke Rehab Unit. The Stroke Rehabilitation Unit (SRU) is a 16 bedded ward delivering care to patients following a stroke. The team has a multi-disciplinary focus in order to ensure that patients are supported through their rehabilitation. SRU is a SCAPE accredited ward achieved through the Salford Royal Nursing Assessment and Accreditation System. Alongside the ward senior nursing team nurses are supported by a nurse consultant and advanced nurse practitioners.We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated adult nurse with a passion for delivering high standards of care. The multi-disciplinary team work closely within stroke services and also have regular contact with other hospitals within the network, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.You will be supported within the role with on-going training which includes the stroke foundation programme and completion of specific stroke competencies.You will be able to:-• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills• Aspire to deliver excellent standards of care • Be able to work collaboratively with all members of the MDT• Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients and their relativesIn return you will:-Be developed by dedicated training professionals.
