Job DescriptionPharmacist: Oaklands HospitalPart-time, 22.5 hoursOaklands Hospital is a private hospital in Salford. The 25-bedded hospital has three operating theatres with laminar flow and a designated endoscopy theatre, one inpatient ward with 17 beds, a day case unit and X-ray, outpatient and diagnostic facilities.Surgical specialities include orthopaedics, with a full range of procedures being undertaken. The service is supported by full range of diagnostic services MRI, X-ray and Physiotherapy.The roleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Pharmacist to work at Oaklands Hospital. We welcome applications from candidates with experience working in the secondary care or primary care sector (including community pharmacy). In this role youwill be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise.The role:Working as part of the wider clinical team, your role will involve:

  • Medicines management and clinical governance activities
  • Reviewing medication safety and policy compliance
  • Counselling patients
  • Clinical screening of medication administration charts and medicines reconciliation
  • Clinical projects
  • Training staff for medicine management
Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical prescription screening and clinical service to wards.
  • Providing pharmaceutical advice to patients/carers and clinical staff.
  • Support to medicines governance, including audit and advice on policy and procedures.
  • Adhering to GPhC Standards of conduct, ethics and performance.
  • Ensuring accurate and legal dispensing and issue of prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients as specified in Ramsay Health Care Policies and Procedures.
  • Adhering to all Ramsay Healthcare policies and procedures to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for patients.
  • Participate in the on-call rota.
  • A strong advocate of the Ramsay Way and People Caring for People.
