Job Description

Payroll Specialist/ SAP Payroll/ Free On Site Parking / Immediate or Reduced Notice Start/ Ongoing Assignment I am looking for an experienced Payroller to support my Salford based client to process a high-volume payroll for a multi-site and nationally operating workforce.This an excellent opportunity for somebody that is keen to use their skills and experience within an inclusive and employee focussed organisation.Initially this will be a temporary requirement, with a strong potential to extend. An immediate or reduced notice period will be required for this vacancy.

  • End to end payroll processing on a weekly/lunar basis,
  • To reconcile third party payments as per the schedules and ensure payments are made on time.
  • To reconcile General Ledger accounts, working closely with the wider Finance Team to ensure accuracy.
  • Create relevant management information through running reports from the SAP payroll database into Excel.
  • To ensure company policies and procedures are always adhered to.
  • To ensure payroll deadlines are consistently met, whilst ensuring accuracy
  • To assist with the testing of new legislation or new functionality prior to it going into Production.
  • Management of payroll queries and escalations in a timely manner.
  • To ensure GDPR Compliance of Payroll data both internally and externally, reporting any issues as required
  • To ensure processes are reviewed, updated, and implemented as required.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of the end-to-end payroll function (ideally for a larger and high volume payroll)
  • Full and up to date understanding and knowledge of all payroll legislation.
  • Excellent computerised systems and Excel skills (SAP system skills are highly advantageous although not essential)
  • A high degree of attention to detail
  • The ability to work to strict targets and time frames.
  • Applicants must be available to start work on a reduced notice period and commit to a minimum 3 month assignment
