Job Description

This is a fantastic career opportunity for someone to work with an excellent company who are in one of the most successful and future -proof development sectors in the UK. Theres a salary of up to GBP21,617 (GBP35,000 pro rata) in a part time roleof around 20 hours a week and benefits including 22 days holidays plus Christmas off and bank holidays, flexible hours, free parking and a pension scheme. If you are looking for a Part Time Finance Manager role this is the position for you. There is the optionto work either 3 full days or 4-5 part days within office hours. About the Part Time Finance Manager Role:Working in the companys new offices, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing all aspects of the accounts including daily processes for both creditor and debtor management, Trial Balance, working papers and Management account preparation and workingalongside the Managing Director to provide accurate cashflow forecasting. You will be working with all departments and functions to ensure the financial information retained is accurate and entered on to the inhouse finance system in a timely manner to facilitateprovision of required information when required. Duties will include:

  • Posting and checking invoices for both sales and purchase ledger
  • Cask book and bank reconciliation
  • Stock reconciliation and journals
  • Trial Balance Reconciliations and Working Paper Management including journals, accruals and pre-payments, expenses (analysis and processing)
  • Dealing with intercompany recharges and Management Fees
  • Fixed Assets and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts including variance analysis reporting and other sales and profit reporting
  • Cashflow management including debtor chasing and reviewing aged debtors and liaising with suppliers
  • Banking and payment processing and posting cash received and other payments
  • Company credit card management
  • Liaising with external payroll company regarding payments and hours worked
  • Payroll reconciliation and journals and dealing with pensions, VAT, PAYE and NI
  • Audit and Year End Preparation
  • Co-ordinating with Financial Stakeholders (Bank and Government)
  • Dealing with queries
Essential Skills & Experience:The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar Finance Manager or Management Accountant role with experience of the production of management accounts, cashflow reporting and balance sheet reconciliation along with HMRC reporting and VAT. Youwill be comfortable with general IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook and have used some form of accounting software such as Sage or Exchequer. You must be willing to commit to a part time role on an ongoing basis. The benefits:
  • A salary of GBP17,647 to GBP21,617 depending on experience for 20-21 hours a week (GBP30,000- GBP35,000 pro rata)
