An excellent opportunity for an experienced lab technician to join this rapidly expanding business who supply wines & spirits to the UK retail trade.This is a Monday - Friday 22:00 - 06:00 (Nights) roleOUR CLIENT is the leading UK independent bottler of wines and spirits, specialising in producing quality own-label wines to the UK Multiple and Convenience Retail Sectors. They believe that the success of their business is dependent upon the skills, attitudes,flexibility and commitment of their employees, so they look to recruit high quality people to work effectively in a strong team-working climate which is innovating and encourages high levels of achievement.The LABORATORY TECHNICIAN will be responsible for:* Routine analysis of wine and spirit samples involving a variety of methods including manual titrations, distillations, pH measurement and organoleptic assessments.* Calculation of additions to bulk product.* Micro-biological testing of wine samples.* Ensuring packaging meets defined specifications.* Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.* Quality Control checks on finished product.The successful candidate should have experience of working in an accredited laboratory within a FMCG environment preferably within the drinks industry and have Microbiologist experience. They would be expected to work as part of a team and unsupervised undertheir own initiative, work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
