Join are team at Tradewind!We are recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in the Salford area to start ASAP and continue in September at a special needs secondary school catering for children with Autism, SEMH & Complex Needs.

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant at secondary special needs school for Autism & Complex Needs in Salford.
• Starting ASAP on a full time basis, Monday to Friday.
• Continuing in September or going perm for the right person.
• Hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm.

• The role will require you to provide whole class support as well as 1:1 at times.
• As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant it will be your role to support the class teacher, help cover some teacher absences, take small intervention groups and occasionally help with planning and delivery of classroom activities.
• You will need to manage behaviour, deal with challenging situations and high energy young people.
• You will need to be hard working, collaborative, adaptable, resilient, patient and able to persevere in order to help you pupils make progress academically, socially, emotionally & physically while also promoting other aspects of personal development.

• The school caters for young people in KS3 & 4 although students are mixed by ability & need.
• All pupils have an EHCP for special needs for one or more of the following Autism, sensory needs, speech & language needs, SEMH, physical needs or medical needs.
• Pupils are grouped based on needs & levels with no more than 10 pupils per class.
• Rated outstanding by Ofsted.
• Great team atmosphere and supportive management.
• Easily accessible by train, bus, tram or car.

To join us and be successful in this Level 3 Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

• Relevant Level 3 certificate.
• Some experience supporting or teaching children with SEN.
• Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one)
• Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
• Min of two professional references checks.
• Provide a CV with a full education & work history.
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.
