Job Description

Right Now Group is looking for an Air Import Clerk to join a growing Freight Forwarder based in the Manchester area.The ideal candidate will be able to complete Import formalities in a 360 capacity including customs clearance, organising collection from Airline sheds and completing deliveries to final point of delivery. Liaising with hauliers and negotiating pricing fortransport.

  • Hours: 8 & 1/2 hour day commencing between 07:30 - 09:00 (start time negotiable)
  • Shift: Mon-Fri
  • Permanent Contract
  • Air freight
  • Located in Manchester
Duties and responsibilities of a Air Import Clerk:
  • Handling the process of import consignments from start to finish in a 360 capacity.
  • Handling / Booking transport movements to final points of delivery.
  • Completing customs clearances.
  • Liaising with internal offices for UK wide deliveries.
  • Cover overtime as and when required - negotiable.
The successful candidate will:
  • Have Air Import experience.
  • Have excellent spoken & written communications skills in English.
  • Be able to work as part of a team, under pressure & tight deadlines.
Salary: £23,000 - £34,000Benefits:
  • Yearly family & friend socials.
  • Quarterly team socials.
  • Paid lunch last Friday of each Month.
