Job Description

Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust have embarked on an exciting collaboration to create a new Health and Social Care Group - The Northern Care Alliance. The Northern Care Alliance brings together five local hospitals to deliver high quality care:-

  • Bury & Rochdale – Including Fairfield General Hospital, Rochdale Infirmary and Integrated Community Services.
  • Salford Royal (which includes the Integrated Care Organisation)
  • The Royal Oldham Hospital

  • Cardiorespiratory Investigations is a forward looking department made up of a multidisciplinary team. We are committed to delivering the best possible care to our patients. As an advanced practitioner in Echocardiography, the successful candidate will be BSE accredited and be competent to issue independent echo reports including, stress echocardiograms, assisting with transoesphageal echocardiograms, performing accurate and reproducible measurements and quantification, interpret findings and independently issue final clinical-technically diagnostic reports, to a highly competent professional standard.You will also provide teaching for medical and physiology staff in echocardiography.The department is supported with regular consultant led echo review meetings with opportunities for further development and training.Band 7 will only be applciable to candidates with full BSE qualification.Applications wil be considered with proof that you are actively working towards full BSE accreditation.The pay band allocated will be appropriate to your level of experience.
