Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join a global business based in Irlam on a permanent basis. The role will be an Accounts Assistant position focussing on the timely processing and coding of invoices, invoice accruals and assisting the management accountants withad-hoc tasks. Great opportunity for a candidate with current invoicing experience or a recent Accounting and Finance graduate lookign to get their foot in the door.Location: IrlamHybridworking: 3/4 days in the officeSalary: up to £26,000 D.O.E.Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of multiple invoice mailboxes
  • Sending supplier invoices for approval to the relevant workflow user
  • Processing supplier invoices in SAP accurately and in a timely manner ensuring correct General Ledger and Cost Centre allocation.
  • Processing of month end invoice accruals
  • Identification and participation in the invoice workflow process improvements
  • Any other tasks relating to the invoice workflow process
  • Ad hoc tasks deemed appropriate for the Finance Assistant role
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP
  • Experience in processing and coding supplier invoices
  • Basic knowledge of accruals and prepayments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work within fast paced and high volume environment
  • Ability to coordinate with internal departments
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use their own initiative and be proactive
  • Good knowledge of MS Office skills - particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
