2nd Line Support Engineer- £30K-Sale-Manchester Location: Sale, Greater ManchesterSalary: £25,000- £30,000APPLY TODAY!!One of my clients, are on the hunt for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be part of a modern, forward-thinking company who pride themselves on investing in their staff and progressing people through the company.As the 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be working within a busy IT Support office in a established, fast growing cloud services provider, who is also an MSP. They are offering an exciting opportunity for the right individual to learn about all the latesttechnology as well as having the prospect of excelling and progressing their career.This role would suit an enthusiastic and motivated individual. They will need exceptional attention to detail be flexible and proactive. They also can work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative. The 2nd Line Support Engineer will be ableto troubleshoot hardware and software issues and problem solving and be an excellent written and verbal communicator. Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd line support for customers
  • Be an escalation point for 1st line engineers
  • Escalate to 3rd line engineers where applicable
  • Log all incidents within the agreed SLAs and time constraints
  • Excellent communication with customers keeping them informed at all times
  • Manage and prioritise all tasks and own work
  • Queue and deal with calls within the set SLAs.
  • Provide support and training to 1st line colleagues
  • Drive your own training from senior members of staff
  • Create improvement/change via the Service Improvement.
  • Create and maintain knowledgebase articles to enable consistency and enhance learning within the team
Requirements
  • Hardware Virtualisation-Citrix / VMWare
  • Microsoft Windows 7/10
  • Active Directory
  • Apple OS X
  • Microsoft Server 2003 to Server 2019
  • MS office suites
  • Citrix XenApp
  • Sage
  • SQL Backup software
  • Group Policy
  • Hardware firewalls
  • 12 months experience in a 2nd line IT Service Desk role
  • Or a well established 1st line Engineer who is looking to progress
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
