Job Description

Property Maintenance Engineer to be based in the UKs largest cottage and holiday rentals companies regional operations office in Salcombe, Devon. This market leading holiday lettings company provide an essential service to their homeowners;their managed service takes the stress away from letting out a holiday home, as the company take care of cleaning, maintenance, check in - you name it, theyll simplify the process and take the pressure away.Overview of the role of Property Maintenance Engineer: -

  • Youll be responsible for holiday lettings property maintenance and repairs in and around the Salcombe area.
  • The Regional Operations Team is responsible for delivering Operational Excellence to their Owners and Guests, at a local level. This is achieved through ensuring consistent operational standards when it comes to cleanliness, maintenance, service deliveryand guest check-in, and it will be your role to deliver maintenance excellence on every job you do.
  • Regional Operations presents one of the biggest growth opportunities available within company and they are building a team of commercially savvy, operationally minded and ambitious people to help them fulfil their potential.
  • This is a genuinely exciting role for an operationally focused maintenance professional who would enjoy delighting owners and guests through amazing local service delivery.
  • Youll be managing 3rd party maintenance suppliers to deliver excellent operations to their owners and guests, ensuring a consistently high quality when it comes to general maintenance.
  • Ensure the company has an appropriate supply of 3rd party technicians/specialists, for both present and future needs
  • Ensure all work you complete is within specified H&S procedures
  • Build a strong employer/contractor brand locally
  • Using data to inform how we deliver and optimise quality, reliability and cost of service delivery
Benefits of working as a Property Maintenance Engineer include: -
  • Based in the companys Salcombe office.
  • Competitive Basic salary.
  • Working 5 days per week Monday - Saturday between 9am - 5pm. Saturdays on a Rota with a day off in Lieu for working a Saturday.
  • 25 days holiday, plus all Bank Holidays, circa 33 days paid holiday a year.
  • Option to take part in Out Of Hours / Call Outs - Youll be paid a supplement for being on call and additional payment if called out.

Suitable candidates for this Property Maintenance Engineer role will be able to demonstrate:-
  • Dealing with the public and delivering excellent standards of general property maintenance and repair work.
  • Understanding of DIY having ideally been a property repair worker, maintenance technician or building maintenance technician or similar roles within property repair and maintenance.
  • PC - Keyboard Skills.
  • Experience of managing and motivating contractors
  • Adaptability and a passion for taking the initiative in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
  • Demonstrable experience of making decisions using data to drive change
  • A creative approach to operational problem solving, with tangible examples
  • The ability to prioritise and deliver a project from beginning to end, irrespective of external factors and pace
  • Due to the nature of this role, a full, clean driving license is also essential, as youll be expected to visit clients homes and will need the ability to be present in the offices that youre responsible for on a regular basis
