Job Description

Planning Manager (S106/CIL)East Midlands6 Months (Likely Extension)£380 - £400 a day (Inside IR35)Full-time - Hybrid Working (1/2 Days Onsite)Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client based in the East Midlands to facilitate the appointment of a Planning manager on an interim basis for 6 Months.As a successful candidate, you will make a significant contribution to the local areas regeneration, in line with the Local Plan priorities, Departmental Service Plan, capital investment priorities and relevant Neighbourhood Plans. This will be done throughdevelopment of infrastructure planning policies and associated documents and practical use of S106 planning obligations, CIL and other funding mechanisms.Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Positively contribute to the services delivery, this will include working flexibly and positively to achieve the objectives of the council.
  • To lead and manage staff ensuring high performance and effective operational delivery, developing, and improving staff capability.
  • Directly responsible for ensuring the councils priorities are delivered through the timely collection, recording and spending of S106 and CIL monies.
  • Manage the Infrastructure Planning team to ensure that CIL and S106 income is optimised, collected, and recorded clearly.
To be successful in the role you will have:
  • A significant understanding of Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and S106 legislation as well as other legislation and policy relevant to infrastructure.
  • Sufficient management experience at a team level within Infrastructure Planning.
