HGV DRIVER IPAF

Job Description

We are looking for Class 1 HGV driver (would consider class2 depending on experience) for predominately Monday-Friday and days only! Additional weekend work is available on a rota basis based at our head office in Droitwich. ***Due to the vigorous and length of time it takes to train a powered access delivery driver anyone with no experience in the transport of either plant hire or access hire equipment should not apply *** As an HGV driver we are looking for a person that has the correct driving licences, hold a CPC card, and IPAF trained. The right person for this role must enjoy dealing with people on a daily basis, have excellent customer service skills and understand the importance of health and safety in the workplace. Responsibilities include: - • Loading and unloading of machines in accordance with the Company code of practice and use appropriate equipment. • Maintaining security of load when loading, transporting and delivering machines. • Handing over machines to customers and familiarise customers with machine operation • Carry out daily checks on vehicle and ancillary equipment. • Comply with legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachographs operation and working time. • Act as an ambassador for the company, providing high standard of customer care and being polite at all times. • Accurately complete all relevant documents on a PDA mobile device. The ideal candidate will require the following: - • You must hold a Class 1 licence & a full CPC Card • Preferably hold IPAF load and unload certification * Experience of delivering construction equipment is essential. • An understanding of the importance of customer service is essential. . Must be physically fit .must be able to use chain and stretchers for securing loads .must be willing to drive smaller vehicles Required skills
