Job Description

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) and Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) Recruitment Partnership: Health in Mind, Wellbeing and Therapy For You IAPT Services2WTE Qualified CBT/High Intensity Therapists AfC Band 737.5 Hours per week FTC 1 yearThe Covid-19 pandemic has served to highlight the intense pressures on health and social care staff. These groups are well known for not seeking support for their own needs which an ultimately lead to burn out and impact service delivery. Therefore we are pleased to announce that two NHS Trusts, EPUT and HPFT, have come together to collaboratively work on a new and innovative project. This new initiative seeks to engage these populations through assertive outreach with the aim of creating a pathway for all health, social care and third sector colleagues and to provide them with rapid access to evidence based psychological support.As part of this initiative, an exciting developmental opportunity has arisen to be part of the Hertfordshire and Essex mental health and wellbeing hub (covering Herts/West Essex ICS, Mid/South ICS and North East Essex) which will offer psychological support to all health (NHS Providers and services commissioned to provide NHS services –primary care, dentists and pharmacists), social care (including care home providers) and third sector partners across Hertfordshire and Essex. This is a joint recruitment process between the two Trusts and applicants are required to indicate their preferred choice of employer on the application form.You will be hosted by either HPFT or EPUT and work in liaison with the local IAPT services in the region. Whilst the new wellbeing hub will be based within these areas, it is anticipated that there will need to be a commitment to remote working and delivery of serviceEPUT and HPFT are looking to recruit 2WTE high intensity CBT therapists on a fixed term 12 month contract to enhance employee health and wellbeing, improve employees experience at work and support the delivery of high-quality compassionate care to our staff community. The post involves managing referrals into the system, undertaking comprehensive assessments and making clinical decisions regarding appropriate onward treatment pathways.It is intended that the successful applicants will form close working relationships and collaborate with colleagues involved in this project across a number of ICSs. This will include attending meetings with commissioners and other stakeholders to report on and evaluate outcomes and giving input into developmental aspects of the project. The successful applicants will also benefit from supportive established staff networks and further CPD opportunities within their host organisation. The successful applicants will have either a relevant post-graduate CBT qualification or be able to demonstrate the equivalent knowledge and experience and hold registration/accreditation with a relevant professional body such as BABCP or BPS. They will have experience of working in an IAPT service. It is expected that interviews will take place remotely, week beginning 18th January 2021.
