Job Description

Job Role: IT Asset & Procurement Field engineerLocation: Field work, different NHS sites all over EssexBand: 4Pay: 11.50 PAYE (holiday inclusive) - £13.50 UmbrellaDuration: 3 Months potentially longerHours: Mon-Fri - (9:00am-5:00pm)Job Responsibilities:

  • To provide a professional interface for our customers and users to ensure high quality services and resolution of incidents as quickly as possible.
  • Entering of all service requests into the Service Desk Service Management Systems, ensuring information is processed in a timely, accurate manor in line with departmental processes.
  • Provide a support service to internal and external customers (users) via telephone, email and remote sessions. Providing guidance from initial contact through to resolution and closure of service requests by handling and responding to enquiries, which may at times be complex for non IM&T Staff.
  • Support the Asset Management and Procurement Manager and IT Team Leader in providing timely, accurate records for analytical reporting of the overall performance of the Asset Management and Procurement Team.
  • Knowledge of eProcurement Systems
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Active Directory management/administration/maintenance to assist the management of devices on the network
  • Lansweeper knowledge and awareness for asset reporting and maintenance purposes
  • Airwatch knowledge and awareness for assisting in the remote management of trust mobile devices
  • Richmond IT Service Management System knowledge/experience
  • ITIL awareness
  • SACM awareness
  • Core understanding of Microsoft desktop operating systems and associated applications to deal with service requests and user queries/resolutions
  • Experience of remote fixes, via Remote Desktop Viewer, RDP or other terminal services
  • Understanding of trust standard kit specifications and requirements of individual users needs to allow the best advise for the services (role based kit)
