Job Description

SEND Teaching AssistantLocation – Runcorn, UKEdNet is currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant for a very well respected SEND School in the central Runcorn area. Staff work hard to make this a welcoming, busy, safe and healthy school, where you will see happy, respectful children who enjoylearning and are doing their very best to achieve their full potential now and later in life.You will have experience and understanding of the needs of pupils with a range of moderate to complex SEND requirements-including PMLD, ASD and SLD. Ideally you will be a qualified Level 3 TA, although the school will consider those without L3, but have extensiveexperience in a similar school environment. This is advertised as a short term cover role, but in our experience-these roles often lead on to long term, and permanent positions.You will assist teaching staff in the delivery of learning activities and work programmes and undertake predetermined activities with pupils so that their intellectual and social development (including self-reliance and self-esteem) is fostered.You will be required to liaise with parents and carers in conjunction with the teaching staff to ensure effective communication concerning the pupils well being.
