Job Description

Do you have experience in Health and Safety Management and have completed your NEBOSH/IOSH CertificateAre you good with people and available immediately to make an impact on a growing business in Food ManufacturingReed have been briefed to recruit on behalf of a large Food Manufacturing business to recruit for an SHE Manager on an initial 3 month Fixed Term Contract. The role will suit an experienced Health and safety professional, who is keen on being able to makea genuine difference on the health and safety standards of a food production site.Please do read on to find more details on the role and person specification:Health and Safety ManagerRuncorn£275-£350 per day Job description:

  • Ensure the site is legal and compliant to all Health & Safety and Environmental company standards.
  • Being proactive to identify risks and recommending actions to minimise risk to the business and impact of enforcement activity.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments to include H&S and Environmental
  • Analyse results and highlight trends to identify problem areas to enable informed and effective decision making.
  • Act as the lead competent person for health and safety and handle all Accreditation and Compliance Audits/Visits.
Person specification:
  • IOSH / NEBOSH – National General Certificate
  • Good understanding of UK legislation in relation to Health & Safety (essential)
  • Internal Audit trained
  • Experience of working in a fast moving distribution environment, preferably from a multi-drop, multi temperature foodservice business with strong knowledge in Health & Safety, Environmental, Food Standards and internal and external auditing standards.
Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
