Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Personal Assistant with knowledge of payroll and accounting to provide professional support for a multi faceted Cardiff based company.PA to Managing Director - Immediate Start Available£25,000 - £30,000 Dependent on ExperienceCardiffFull time, Permanent PositionPlease Note: Applicants must be eligible to work in the UKWe have a very exciting opportunity for a multi-talented individual who is ambitious, enthusiastic and has a can-do attitude to join our company. We are looking for a Personal Assistant to provide strictly private and confidential support to the Managing Director. The candidate must be self-motivated as this role is truly diverse and will put your organisational skills and talents to good use.We would ideally want someone who can multi-task and would excel in a busy home office environment. We would expect you to have excellent customer service skills developed within a commercial environment and knowledge, experience and skills in accounts,payroll, project management and the property sector.Main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the MD with many aspects of their commercial work across several businesses and personal matters.
  • Organising paperwork and electronic files to a high standard.
  • Using accounting software such as Quick books / Sage experience - (essential).
  • Understanding of basic accounts, utility bills/companies, insurance, commercial rates, payroll.
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial tenancy agreements - (advantageous).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage small projects, use initiative to make calls and send emails to follow up on projects.
  • Occasional domestic type chores, organise a buffet lunch for meetings, run errands etc.
Qualifications and Training:
  • Educated to degree level standard or equivalent (desirable).
  • AAT accounting Level 2/3 qualification or equivalent (essential).
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in a similar role.
Skills:
  • Excellent IT Skills, including use of ICT packages i.e. Word, Excel, Quick Books and Sage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an approachable personality.
  • Excellent letter writing and organisational skills.
  • Must have own car and driving licence.
Knowledge:
  • Good knowledge of database systems and processes.
  • Clear understanding of confidentiality.
Job Details and Contract type:
  • Salary -Dependent upon experience.
  • Location: MDs home on the border of Newport/Cardiff, occasional work/meetings at other locations.
  • Days and Hours of work - Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm (Would consider flexibility for the right person).
  • Contract type - would consider flexible, fixed-term or permanent employment.
  • Confidentiality on condition of employment, the candidate must sign and adhere to an NDA, during and post-employment.
  • No allergies to domestic pets, as cats and dogs are onsite.
  • On-site free parking.
  • Annual leave - 28 days per annum if full time.
  • Pension.
