Job Description

WB Employment are currently recruiting for Machine Operators on behalf of our client, well established, multi- million pound company that has invested heavily in improving the infrastructure and production capacity of their plant in Cardiff.The successful applicant will join fantastic company, offering competitive salary, a permanent contract, up to 27 days holiday + bank holidays, sick pay, life assurance, annual profit share and more.We are looking for a skilled Machine operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery, ensuring the efficient running of production. You need to be reliable and have a great attention to details and safety standards. Being a good team player is essentialsince all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers.Responsibilities:

  • Setting up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.)
  • Control and adjust settings when required,
  • Feed raw materials or parts to semi- automated machine,
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools,
  • Fix issues that may occur during the shift,
  • Check output to spot any machine related mistakes or rejects,
  • Keep record of approved and defected product or final product,
  • Maintain activity log and work towards settled KPIs,
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a machine operator, working with machine tools or mechanical assembly.
  • Working knowledge of diverse high - speed machinery and measurements tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
  • Understanding of production procedure,
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (constant use of protection gear)
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings, instructions, schematics and manuals to ensure accurate production.
  • strong attention to details, accuracy and safety
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Physical stamina and strength - ability to lift 20 kilograms and perform repetitive tasks.
Working pattern: Monday - Friday 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6amPay rate: start from £10p/h- £11.55p/h after training +10% afternoons allowance and 30% nights allowance.
