Platform Resourcing are working with a well-established Engineering client based in Cardiff. They are looking for a Junior Process Engineer to join their ever-expanding team in an exciting time of growth.The successful candidate will work as part of a team responsible for process improvements, machine reliability, waste control, and quality of the finished product.The employee will be required to manage projects as required, taking responsibility for continuous improvements, new product development, installation and commissioning of new machinery, and various new products or machine related projects.Benefits:* Salary of up to £30,000 plus 10% yearly bonus paid in December* Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm* Permanent, stable role within a growing organisation during an exciting period of expansion* 24 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays with Christmas shutdown* Death in Service scheme* Pension, 4% employee + 5% employer* Company Events and long Service Awards, award given from 5 years on in 5 year increments* Free Parking* Free Tea and CoffeeResponsibilities:* Support engineering with design, re-design and development of process equipment * Work with various teams on multiple projects to continuously improve and maintain operational processes* Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure that equipment reliability and repeatability is maintained at the optimum level* To work with component and machine suppliers to eradicate process problems identified by production and maintenance * Help organise, implement, maintain and improve production process flows* Drive a continuous improvement culture and Lean manufacturing techniques / principles throughout the business* Use and implementation of 8D methodology* Identify ways to reduce production costs, project plan changes and implement challenging deadlines* Drive change on waste culture* Preparation of various engineering deliverables such as drawings for manufacture, Process Flow diagrams, Process Datasheets, Equipment Specifications, Cause & Effect diagrams, shutdown procedures, TPM documentationEssential Skills:* Engineering qualification preferably in Manufacturing or Civil Engineering* At least 1 year of experience within similar role, process engineering/ manufacturing engineering/ continuous improvement/ process improvement or implementation even at internship or apprenticeship level* Strong problem-solving skills* Experience of 2D and / or 3D CAD/ Solidworks would be beneficial* Good time management, ability to plan and prioritise own workload with a strong focus on delivery* Must be capable of communicating with people at all levels throughout the organisation, in groups or one to one* Must be I.T.
