Job Description

An Engineering company in Cardiff requires a full-time Electronics Engineer to join a growing engineering team, to undertake a variety of engineering projects from conception to completion with minimal supervision.The position will involve the following activities:Occasional visits and working at customer sites within the UK and Internationally

  • Prototype PCB Assembly
  • Fault Finding to component level
  • Product Design and Development based upon Microprocessor, Programmable Logic and Analogue technology.
  • Software Application Development using Microsoft Visual Studio and other packages
  • Technical Specifications, Drawings and Report Writing
    • QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of a Degree in Electronics.Excellent computer literacy in particular using the Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)Driving License and confident driver.EXPERIENCEGraduates will be considered or relevant experience in the following:Electronic Design including using Analogue, Digital and Microcontrollers
  • PCB Design using Altium
  • Embedded software development
  • Some experience of high-level programming languages (e.g. C, C++).
  • PCB Repair to component level.
  • Report writing to a high standard using Microsoft Word.
    • Design Configuration Control to a high level Required skills
