Job Description

My client are a leader within their industry. They pride themselves on always providing high quality products and customer support.I have a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Payroll Advisor/Supervisor to join the organisation.RESPONSIBLE FOR: Ensuring all staff are paid the correct amount on a timely basis in line with regulatory requirements. Administer all aspects of payroll and benefits. To be accountable for making sure the Company has efficient and effective systems in place in order to support growth and change within the organisation. To control, improve and develop reporting capabilities within the HR function using our HRIS KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /TASKS: Payroll Administration:

  • Manage all aspects of the payroll on a monthly basis - ensuring that all changes are correctly captured and prepare payroll for sign off ensuring high levels of accuracy using in-house system
  • Administration of 3rd party reconciliation including payments schedules and correspondence
  • Accountable for ensuring all pension schemes are correctly maintained including auto enrolment Payroll System Ownership:
  • Accountable for ensuring controls are in place and robust to ensure accuracy of payroll processing
  • Ownership of monthly and year-end controls/financial reports regarding payroll
  • From start to finish complete and manage statutory processes including year-end processes and reporting
  • Management of all Employee Benefits
  • Manage the gender pay gap reporting
  • Be responsible for and own the processes and system improvements/enhancements within the payroll arena
  • Accountable and responsible for Ad hoc payroll reporting, including preparation and presentation of relevant information in the most appropriate format
  • Manage, maintain and administer the in-house payroll system including data tables and rules
  • Foresee plan and implement and test processes and systems in order to comply with changing legislation, pension requirements and policy
  • Responsible for the design and implementation and creation of payroll MI reports for Mancom
  • General payroll advice and guidance, adhering to legislation and best practice
  • EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Detailed knowledge payroll processes including HMR&C legislation
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, especially Excel (Pivot Tables and VLookups for example)
  • Working knowledge of SD Worx system
  • Excellent analytical skills with high levels of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Experience of improving working practices and making recommendations for improvement
