Job Description

Senior Technical Sales Engineer - UK Based£50,000 - £55,000 per annum + Excellent company benefitsWe are seeking an experienced UK-based Technical Sales Engineer to work closely with the UK Business Development Director and globally distributed engineering teams to proactively develop solutions to various customer sites within the Mining Industry.Duties and responsibilities includePreparation of Quotations

  • Liaise with sub-suppliers and request quotations
  • Define solutions to customer requirements
  • Researching solutions and making recommendations
  • Following up on new leads
  • Liaising with customers to understand requirements
  • Compile proposals
  • New Business Development - promoting and developing business to new clients
  • Onsite meetings to establish client requirements and develop business
  • Marketing activities / attending conferences and exhibitions
  • Creating content for marketing activities
  • Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain company CRM databases
  • Utilising AutoCad / Inventor
  • Be capable of operating efficiently across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactively develop contacts
  • Self motivated and self sustaining, relationship builder
Qualifications / Experience
  • Engineering background in either Mechanical, Electrical or Electrical Controls System background
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Ability to read Technical Drawings
  • Extensive Technical Sales experience within a complex system integration environment
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Preference given to those with AutoCad / Inventor skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • A second European language an advantage - (German language skills a bonus)
