Job Description

Quality InspectorLocation - RugbySalary - £33,000 - £35,000 (Dependant on experience)Metalis are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our clients team in Rugby. The Quality Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients products meet the established quality standards and customer requirements.The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of quality control processes, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality.Job Duties:

  • Perform visual inspections and measurements on products to ensure they meet quality specifications and standards.
  • Conduct in-depth inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products using various inspection tools and equipment.
  • Document inspection results, complete inspection reports, and maintain accurate records of quality tests and checks.
  • Identify and report any deviations from quality standards, product defects, or issues with manufacturing processes to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality-related problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular inspections of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
  • Assist in the training of production staff on quality standards and inspection methods.
Job Requirements:
  • Educational background in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with a degree or relevant qualification.
  • Proficiency in using mechanical measuring equipment demonstrated through prior experience.
  • Track record of conducting inspections, generating detailed reports, and implementing necessary corrective actions.
  • Experience in developing and implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS) is a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving techniques for addressing non-conformances and quality-related issues.
  • Knowledgeable in ISO 9001:2015 quality standard with a practical understanding of risk management processes, which is advantageous.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective interaction within the team and external stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive understanding and practical experience in quality auditing techniques, engineering design, and product reliability concepts.
  • Demonstrates a hands-on, pragmatic approach with a positive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Possesses strong negotiation and influencing skills, handling quality concerns with a calm and diplomatic demeanour across all organizational levels.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varied work hours, including extended periods in the workshop when required.
Salary & Hours:
  • Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum (Dependant on experience)
  • Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 16.30pm and Friday 7.00am to 13.30pm
  • Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
