Job Description

We are proud to be recruiting an Inventory Lead for our client who has exciting growth plans over the next few years! This vitally important role will be key in managing the inventory team, overseeing the inventory levels and improving the overall process.Based in Rugby, the role will be responsible for inventory control, forecasting and planning and optimising stock levels. You will have responsibility for an inventory controller, so experience managing people as well as the inventory will be important.The ideal candidate will have a strong inventory/stock management background, where you will be leading the stock management project moving forward. Your background will have given you the proficiency in optimising stock levels, and allowing greater visibilityover current stock levels and potential solutions to problems as they arise.You will be comfortable using the ABC methodology of inventory and will have a demonstrable track record in this.The role is a Fixed-term Contract to start with, but with the view of the successful individual becoming permanent later on through the contract. The role is looking to offer between £45,000-£55,000 per annum depending on your experience.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory control measures
  • Analyse data and market trends to forecast and plan future demand
  • Generate and report on reports on KPIs, using this to improve processes
  • Oversee warehouse operations and optimise inventory levels to reduce costs, while keeping enough stock to meet customer demand
  • Monitor and manage risks and issues, including creating contingency plans
  • Seek ways to provide continuous improvement, increasing customer satisfaction, increasing efficiency and reducing costs
  • Be the leading authority on compliance, ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy
Ideal Candidate:
  • Strong Inventory/Stock Management background
  • Track record of improving inventory accuracy and optimising stock levels
  • Created and implement processes within warehouse
  • Management experience highly advantageous
  • IT Proficient across Microsoft Office and Inventory Management Software, ideally SAP
  • Working knowledge of the ABC methodology
