Permanent PositionCompetitive Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 DOEFree Onsite Parking8-4.30 Monday to Thursday - 8-2 Friday33 days Flexible HolidayI am currently working with an sub-contract engineering business in Rugby, who are now recruiting for an Estimator to join their existing team.Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Estimator will come from a technical background in either engineering or manufacturing who can operate in a commercial role to estimate new enquiries and assist the team.The main requirements of the Estimator will be to:* Interpret customers requirements from specifications and drawings.* Using software to create quotations and price proposals (MS Excel & MRP)* Liaise with suppliers for material and sub-contract costs.* Deal with clients technical questions with support from the companys manufacturing engineers.* Promote the business and follow up on enquiries to maximise new business opportunities.* Following up existing enquiries to encourage feedback from our customers.* Liaising with the engineering, production, and quality staff to ensure the customers specific requirements are communicated to staff in all departments.The ideal candidate for the Estimator will have:* A good understanding of manufacturing principles and processes.* Experience in sheet metal and fabrication industry* Proven experience in a customer service role within a business-to-business environment.* Ability to organise and manage multiple priorities.* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to communicate clearly.* Working knowledge of MS Office.* 2D CAD experience, handling and analysing dxf and dwg files.* The ability to use 3D CAD software would also be advantageous but training can be provided if required.In return, the Estimator can expect to receive a competitive salary, depending on their level of experience and knowledge, free onsite parking, 33 days holiday entitlement (20 flexible days +8 bank holidays + 5 to be kept for Christmas shutdown).
