SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager to join a company located in Nottingham on a Permanent Basis. The company are very well known in their industry, have a great working environment along with a personable and vibrant workforce. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast paced operation. You will oversee and manage the flow of materiel, ensuring components are in the right place at the right time to meet production demands, knowing exactly what is happening throughout the supply chain. You will have the responsibility for management of stock globally, ensuring sales requirements are fulfilled efficiently without compromising quality. This is a varied role overseeing and managing the complete supply chain, with high priority being placed on risk and quality aspects. Youll need strong communication and organisational skills in order to resolve potential supply chain management issues and discrepancies such as lead times & component changes. Responsibilities Include: - Manage and motivate a small team to deliver an exceptional service - Vendor management including developing new and existing relationships with suppliers - Manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain - Improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process - Inventory management -work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance for sales and production - Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met through material planning - Management of supplier RMAs - Item and BOM management within ERP system - Coordination of demonstration stock - Use computer software to track goods from origin to delivery - Resolving supplier invoice and stock valuation queries, working with the Finance Team to manage the costs involved while maintaining quality Person Specification - Background in supplier management- with deep knowledge of supply chain processes. - Experience of delivering continuous improvements, problem solving, methodical and well organised. - Excellent communication skills: the ability to successfully manage expectations & trade-offs. - Strong commercial experience including managing purchasing and contracts. - Global experience either within business, with external suppliers or logistics would be an advantage This is a chance to positively impact the customers and processes within a fast growing, exciting company!
