Job Description

CNC Machinist required for our client in Nottingham, this is a permanent opportunity to join an established business who are expanding.As an experienced CNC machinist you will be required to fabricate production parts to print specifications and quality standardsMust be skilled in working within close tolerances and have the ability to use various types of precision measuring devices.Rotating shifts 6am-2pm and 2pm - 10pm with early finishes on fridays!Responsibilities:

  • Working from drawings and specifications in completing various machining operations.
  • Operating and setting Fanuc or Mazatrol CNC Lathes
  • Perform machine set ups to obtain close tolerances.
  • Obtains required inspections on first pieces of a run according to prescribed procedure and performs inspections on work-in-progress using a wide variety of measuring devices.
  • Completes and maintains all necessary records of time, part counts, first piece inspections, requisition forms
  • Performs first piece inspections on basic product for other machinists, as qualified and assigned.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of setting, operating and programming within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment and interpret drawings.
  • Working knowledge of CNC machines to understand how to alter tooling offsets on the machines.
  • Working knowledge of mathematics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills.
