Our client is an established International Freight Forwarder and Logistics provider who looks to support a range of clients across the UK. They are looking to add a Transport Operator to their Manchester office who will be part of their Road Freight team. As a Transport Operator you will be focused on assisting customers through the process of import and exporting ensuring excellent customer service throughout. The role will be working to provide operational support to customers during the shipping process including assisting with quotations and initial bookings; customer documentation; monitoring shipment progress and managing customers throughout. This role requires a high level of customer service along with the ability to work alongside a variety of stakeholders within in the business. The role will also require submission and completion of customs entries; invoicing of jobs and regularly updating systems to ensure internal stakeholders and customers are aware of the progress of shipments.Ideally our client is looking for someone with experience in Import, Export and Customs procedure ideally within Road Freight but there may be opportunity to cross train from other Freight or Transport backgrounds. The right person will have a strong administrative background having worked across Microsoft and systems such as Cargowise. The right candidate will have a good telephone manner; excellent customer service skills and be highly organised as to manage workload and customer accounts.On offer is an opportunity to join a thriving business with a fantastic reputation in the market.
