Exceptional forwarder in Manchester seek to recruit an experienced Ocean Import Operator to join their vibrant team. Established for over 30 years, and with extensive growth in the last 6 years - the Manchester team now consists of 40 staff - an increase of 20 since 2015. This innovative company provide services by air sea and road to its clients worldwide. State of the art software and tech will be at the fingertips of their new Import Operator - ensuring smooth & effective operations, making your life easier. Real-time technology for the clearance/ tracking and quotations teams ensures fast response times and visibility. The new Import operator will bring experience of a full process 360 degree role - origin to door including onward haulage, file closure and clearance. This is not a part-process production line role. The operators here take full file ownership of their clients cargo movements, and full credit for the success of those operations. Autonomy is given, and this role would suit an operator who enjoys that level of responsibility. The successful operator will bring existing knowledge of Destin8, CNS and ideally Multifreight - or similar commonplace freight software, as well as in depth exposure to file handling / management of the entire ocean import process from pre-arrival to destination. You will have exposure to deep sea operations from Far & Middle East. Both FCL & LCL. Skills and experience are essential - but attitude is everything for this team. A positive mind set, friendly demeanour and a great sense of humour are must-haves!
