Job Description

Performing Arts Graduate - SEND Teaching Assistant

    • Empowering Learning are recruiting Performing Arts Graduates to work on a full-time/part-time basis as a SEND Teaching Assistant SEND Schools across South East London, Southwark. You will be supporting pupils with different SEND needs such as Autism, Moderate Learning difficulties, Complex needs and Social and Emotional Mental health. We are seeking enthusiastic and hands-on people, that can be creative and animated with pupils that require one to one support.Job Responsibilities
  • Comfortable supporting pupils with various learningdifficulties
  • Ability to engage and support pupils
  • Assist with personal care if needed
  • Comfortable assisting with challenging behaviour

  • Experience of supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities desirable
  • Able to stay calm and de-escalate challenging Behaviour
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 4-months
