Job Description

Celon is looking for a talented IT Project Manager to join our team, starting immediately, on an initial 12 month fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend.Working as an extension of our clients teams, including some of the UKs largest organisations, our ideal candidate is proactive and self-starting, with proven experience of delivering large scale Fundraising CRM Migration projects and the knowledge andskills to manage and control a complex portfolio, plan and deliver projects from conception to completion, assess risk, and ensure delivery is on time and on budget.This role requires a broad range of skills and were looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years experience within IT Project Management which includes a good understanding of document management and information governance, strong negotiation andtime management skills plus experience and confidence in presenting and writing business case and highlight reports.Celon is a Microsoft Gold Partner with a growing consultancy team - we value building experience and responsibility and encourage personal and career development and progression.Key responsibilities:

  • Project manage all the Fundraising CRM migration projects to agreed time, cost and quality criteria.
  • Produce and maintain project management documentation including project plans, RAID registers, and project status reports in accordance with the IT Department project management processes and procedures.
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.
  • Define and document all phases of projects including tasks, escalation paths, milestones and acceptance criteria.
  • Review and validate work plans of external service providers contracted to execute elements of the project.
  • Ensure that risks, issues and changes are documented and managed effectively.
  • Liaise with project sponsors, stakeholders, and staff in order to achieve project goals.
  • Produce presentations to communicate project goals and status to stakeholders.
  • Ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.
  • Support other functional and operational areas such as testing, documentation, and training as required.
  • Facilitate the release of the project to the support/services team.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
  • Proven experience and demonstrable success delivering migration of data to Fundraising CRM projects, to agreed time, cost and quality criteria guidelines
  • Minimum five years experience in a similar IT Project Manager role
  • A recognised Project Management qualification, eg: Prince2
  • Significant experience of producing and maintaining project management documentation - including project plans, RAID registers and project status reports
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral English), including the ability to communicate difficult or complex ideas clearly and translate technical matters to non-technical colleagues
  • Capacity to forge strong business relationships with external suppliers
  • Confidence and ability to lead and facilitate workshops, meetings and present to large audiences
  • Experienced in producing clear and concise documentation and the ability to succinctly summarise and organise information
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with excellent time management
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, as well as a desire to draw on the expertise of colleagues to ensure that the requirements of the organisation are met
  • User focussed, with a positive outlook and attitude and the ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
  • Experience within a similar sector
  • An understanding of Microsoft technologies
