Job Description

Role: Content and Social Media Marketing ManagerTeam: MarketingReporting to: Head of MarketingOur client, an award-winning social enterprise within the D&I space champion an inclusive, respectful and creative culture showing care and candour in everything we do. They embrace new ideas, take calculated risks, communicate openly and are proud to promote and deliver our shared mission.About the role:Joining our London office (currently remotely working), you’ll work as part of the Marketing and Brand team and report into the Head of Marketing and Brand. You’ll have the chance to build a Content strategy to drive traffic, engagement, create leads for a fast-paced Business Development (BD) team, and increase customer retention. You will also have some knowledge of our target audiences (HR, Recruitment and CSR professionals and the odd CEO!) and have strong knowledge on channels where content will be shared to get best exposure and uptake.You will get to work closely with internal thought leaders to create engaging content including, reports, blogs, webinars event collateral, PR activity, translate research into something hearty and you will also get to support the BD on their creative pitches.About you:With some experience under your belt, you want to take your love of language and creative to a whole new level and build a content strategy from scratch. And working closely with our Digital Marketeers, internal thought leaders, designers, you’ll spend time collaborating over a coffee and asking lots of questions to ensure we are creating content that is creating conversations.You’ll be a real stickler for precision and punctuation. We take our work seriously, but never ourselves. So, you’ll need to bring a sense of humour along with your spelling skills.Proactive content writer with social media skillsYou will have had a background in B2B marketing with a passion for that and/or the HR tech industry, with a technical expertise and previous experience of lead generation, delivering pipeline opportunities, and understanding how content and social media fits into this.Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve tone of voice across all work and be a stickler in ensuing other team members are on brand. You will be a strong internal brand ambassador!
  • Leading on creating a brand-new content strategy and develop an editorial calendar for each stakeholder - ensure all internal customers are on board
  • Edit, proofread and improve internal teams’ emails, and social media posts where needed
  • Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to optimize content according to SEO and ensuring your content is landing where it needs to and reaching your KPIs.
  • Confidently adapting to different tones of voice and different platforms, including digital and social
  • Developing innovative, award-winning pitch documents with the BD team
  • Planning and delivering copy workshops for internal teams
  • Taking the brief directly from internal teams and defining propositions and outcomes
  • Supporting PR agency with tailored content and award entries
  • Supporting the Marketing Manager ensuring they have on brand innovative content for our face-to-face events
  • Supporting on webinar content
  • Support our CEO in creating activist style content each month through blogs and speeches for speaking opportunities
  • Skills/Experience:
  • Knowledge of employer branding and B2B activity
  • Pardot
  • Proactive content writer
  • Having clear outcomes and KPIs for your content, and of course hitting them!
  • Experience within an agency environment
  • Ability to rationalise your ideas and tell the story behind them
  • Experience of using different tones of voice and writing for different platforms, including digital and social for different audiences.
  • Strong strategic skills
  • Comfortable talking to all types of people and the ability to influence their opinions
  • Keen to develop your skills and push yourself
  • Experience of briefing your ideas to other creative teams and oversee the work
  • Strong presentation skills and an ability to think on your feet
