Role: Work Placement Officer Location: RotherhamSalary: £21,451.04 (pro - rata per annum)Post type: PermanentAbout the role:The role of Work Placement Officer is position within the Student Support Services team. In this role, you would be responsible for the development of the students journey offering support by sourcing high quality placement experiences. The placementswill enrich students learning and help contribute to a central platform of information to support work experience opportunities across the group.This role is tailored for the College learners to enhance their experience during their college learning.As a Work Placement Officer you will link closely with other curriculum colleagues to devise a schedule of placements which work with the college training helping to build key employer links. This role will work with students both directly and indirectly,with access to a managed centralised platform that the students can access for information and guidance on the placements along with information relating to other placements / opportunities that are available.Person Specification: In this role ideally, experience within an educational environment setting would be preferred, ideally within the Further Education/Post - 16 environment, but this is not essential. You will be working as a team with the responsibility of organising,co-ordinating, promoting and delivering on the events to help deliver work placement opportunities for the learners. You will be responsible for contributing to a centralised databased of employers, which provides information to learners on placements. Youshould feel confident to review placements providers with regard to providing a health and safe environment for all students.You will hold minimum qualifications in English and Maths at level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent, and a Level 3 qualification (preferred not required). You also need to demonstrate a good standard of customer service skills with the ability to work with respectand confidentiality.Departmental Information:The role of the Personal Development Co-ordinator will be working with a team based on site, you will work with colleagues in similar positions across other campuses to enable a consistent approach to events, delivery and offerings. You will reportto the Student Support Team Leader and work collaboratively with the Student Support Team onsite.
