Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a Rotherham based building products manufacturer, who are looking for a Senior Production Engineer to join the team. As the Senior Production Engineer you will:

  • Incoming inspection of materials for assembly
  • Investigation of manufacturing issues on the production line
  • Investigation and resolution of any NCR’s reported
  • Collating manufacturing data for the design group
  • Improving existing operations, bringing in new methods and processes. (e.g. materials handling)
  • Training and managing staff. (Another experienced production engineer, and a toolmaking / machinery support group.)
  • Working as a team with design engineers to identify improvements and to introduce improved assemblies / new machinery into the manufacturing process
To be considered for the Senior Production Engineer role you will need:
  • Production engineering skills
  • Practical hands on
  • A ‘doer’ The environment requires this person to personally do things, not to just talk about it, or delegate everything. The person must take responsibility for ensuring things are done and done promptly and correctly
  • Be able to plan and prioritise tasks and have a sense of urgency when there is a risk of manufacturing output being affected
  • Able to work in a team and supervise other team members
  • Ability to read and understand CAD drawings
  • Be good at analysing and solving problems
  • If you have the interest / ability there is the opportunity to undertake design work
