Job Description

Staff365 are working with our partner & client to actively seek an experienced security officer who will be flexible to carry out extra duties by supporting the shop floors busy industrial working environment as & when required. Our client are a bespokemanufacturer located in the Rotherham S61 area.Working hours are Monday-Friday, rotating weekly from 6am - 2pm & 2pm - 10pm.£9.63PH with extra overtime available., car park & canteen facilities are available.Your day to day duties are:

  • Controlling and monitoring all personnel & visitors entering & leaving site including drivers & sub-contractors
  • Instructing all entering site to adhere to site health & safety rules including adhering to walk ways & wearing the correct PPE
  • Recieving and processing of deliveries
  • Issuing documentation to wagon and delivery drivers
  • Ensuring your work areas are clean, tidy & safe at all times
  • Reporting any accidents & incidents should they occure immediately to the shift manager
  • Assist in the coverage of shift in times of holidays, sickness & training etc
Additional duties to undertake are:
  • General labouring and working in small teams to help our client manufacture their product
  • Machine operating
  • Banding & quality control of finished products
PLEASE NOTE - Any additional duties carried out, training will be provided prior to this.About you:
  • You must have a good understanding of Health & Safety within a workplace
  • Previous experience with administrative duties and dealing with paperwork
  • Have previously worked in a customer facing environment
  • Being situated in a gatehouse previously is advantageous
  • Self-motivated, as when training is complete, you may be working more on your own
  • Can-do attitude, who will be happy to help the shop floor as & when required
  • Operating walkie talkies to communiate with shift managers and other management
