Job Description

Schools Liaison & Events OfficerFull Time - 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per yearPermanentSalary; £22,784 per annumLocation; Cross-college role - Rotherham, Dearne Valley and WorksopAbout the RoleThe Schools Liaison & Events Officer role is a key part of the Groups provision, within the Learner Recruitment team, coordinating a full range of recruitment activities including internal and external events, whilst building strong relationships with schoolsand other key external partners.You will work in partnership with our teaching departments, and with colleagues in the marketing team, to co-ordinate a programme of recruitment activities across the Rotherham borough, Bassetlaw and surrounding areas for various target markets that maximisethe opportunities for the Colleges to recruit students in line with the recruitment strategy.In order to succeed in the role you will have the ability to be confident while providing excellent information, advice and guidance face-to-face, as well through other various communication methods.You willYou will have previous experience of working in a customer facing role, and ideally within an education setting, planning and coordinating events.You will have excellent communication both written & verbal and ideally have experience delivering talks and/or presentations. You will hold a Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (equivalent to GCSE) and either hold or be willing to work towards Level 3 in Information & Guidance.Department InfoThese roles are part of the Learner Recruitment and Events Team, which is led by the Learner Recruitment & Events Manager who will give you direction, but you will plan and prioritise your day to day workload. You will work with the Director of Learner Recruitment& Marketing, Recruitment & Events Manager and Marketing Manager to ensure projects are completed to agreed timescales. The department is critical to effectively promote the College and drive recruitment through a range of recruitment activities and events.Our excellent benefits and rewards package:
