Job Description

Production PlannerPlastics Manufacturing Industry Rotherham £32,000

  • 8:30-4:30 Mon-Fri
  • Discretionary annual bonus up to 5%

Our client are a global packaging and container manufacturing company to be based in their Rotherham office. The business is looking for a Production Planner to join their busy Procurement team; you will be responsible for creating and managing production schedulesthat optimize the use of resources, meet customer demand, and ensure timely delivery of products. As Production Planner, your duties and responsibilities will include: • Creating production schedules • Monitoring production processes • Analysing data • Collaborating with other departments • Inventory management • Capacity planning • Continuous improvement • Communication Key skills of the Production Planner: • At least 2 years’ experience of a similar role • Experience of working in a production planning environment • Self-starter, able to act on own initiative • Tenacious and resilient • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity • Strong IT skills – Word and Excel and the ability to easily adapt to new systems / packages • Excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels, internally and externally • Strong written and oral communication skills • Experience in a similar role Overall, the production planner plays a crucial role in ensuring that production processes run smoothly, products are delivered on time, and the organization meets its production goals.
