Job Description

Reed are excited to be helping a leading NHS trust in South Yorkshire look for two Band 6 performance managers as set out below;

  • Location : commutable from Rotherham

  • Number required ; 2
  • £33,000 - £39,000
JOB PURPOSEThe post holder will be responsible for actively contributing to the development,implementation, and continuous improvement of a robust performance managementframework for the Trust, which is consistent with the Trusts Strategic Direction, andactively promotes a culture of excellence. This will include the development andimplementation of effective reporting systems at all levels of the organisation in ways thatsupport clear accountability and encourage achievement of all key targets whetherexternally or internally set.The post holder will be responsible for a portfolio of services and will ensure contractualand national requirements are met, this will include providing the assurance to keystakeholders, executive leads and members of the board.The postholder will be responsible for interpreting and analysing high risk areas and willprovide specialist support to operational services to proactively rectify and addressunderperformance.The post holder will be responsible for the implementation and development of all internaland external performance reports for their respective portfolios This will include workingdirectly with managers and clinicians to ensure processes are in place which gives theTrust Board appropriate assurances on the delivery of its key external and internal.The post holder be responsible for the development of performance information atlocality/service level by providing support to staff to enable them to access and useperformance information in their roles thus increasing local accountability andmanagement at operational level.The post holder is responsible for maintaining up to date knowledge of the targets andstandards that must be met and the way in which they are measured, ensuring they arecommunicated and that there is a good level of awareness throughout their area ofresponsibility regarding these targetsThe post holder is responsible for supporting with the development, implementation andfor using a range of descriptive and analytical statistical techniques. There will also be arequirement to influence managers and clinicians with narrative and graphic tools thatexplain the data and its consequencesThe post holder will be expected to effectively and openly engage and exchangeinformation on their work with other colleagues in the Contracts, Performance and CQUINteam to promote joined up work and sharing of best practice across the Trust. The postholder will also assist and deputise, where appropriate, for the Senior PerformanceManager.Post-holders will be allocated to one of the Performance Manager roles as directedby the Head of Contracts Performance and CQUIN; however, will be expected tointerchange when required.
