Job Description

PE Teacher/Cover Supervisor (Female) - Secondary SchoolLocation: RotherhamStart Date: January 2024 or ASAPContract Type: Fixed Term (One Term Initially, with possibility of extension)Hours: Full-Time, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PMAn exciting opportunity has arisen at our secondary school in Rotherham for a dedicated and enthusiastic Female PE Teacher/Cover Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time position, initially for one term, starting in January 2024, with the possibilityof extension.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons to secondary school students.
  • Supervise and support girls activities, ensuring a safe and positive environment.
  • Oversee changing areas, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of extracurricular sports programs.
  • Provide cover supervision for other subjects when required.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • While a teaching qualification is not mandatory, experience in sports coaching or as a sports cover supervisor is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of physical education and a passion for promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and the ability to create a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Energetic and passionate about promoting physical activity.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in sports and physical education.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to cover various subjects during absence periods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
