Job Description

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Rotherham area as they look to recruit a Permanent Part-Time Payroller. Responsibilities:

  • Keep up to date with payroll related legislation, company policies and Harsco internal controls
  • Reviews payroll documentation for accuracy and make any necessary adjustments. Obtain necessary approvals.
  • Calculations for average holiday pay rates.
  • Reconcile PAYE, Pension Contributions, Union Deductions, AEOs each month.
  • Prepare monthly reports to Finance Departments, Government bodies and other third parties.
  • Auto enrolment duties, including uploading pension contributions reports to our pension providers.
  • Respond accurately and in a timely manner to customer enquiries.
  • P11D administration.
  • Perform Year End Payroll procedures.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Dimensions:
  • The payrolls - 1 weekly, 2 monthly UK payrolls and 1 monthly modified payroll.
  • The number of employees on the payrolls total circa 180 monthly paid and circa 350 weekly paid.
  • The payroll team comprises 1 full time and 2 part-time staff
Person Specification:
  • PC literate with good to intermediate Excel skills.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • The ability to adhere to deadlines and deliver required information in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise, multi task and work to deadlines.
  • Team player.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
